Jewish Family Service of Greater Harrisburg supports children and families from the first questions about foster care and adoption through placement and long-term post-adoption support.
As part of the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN), we help connect children in foster care with safe, loving families and provide ongoing services to help families thrive.

Become a Resource Family
It only takes one adult to change a child’s life.
Resource Families provide safety, stability, and compassion to children who have experienced trauma, loss, or instability. JFS provides training, guidance, and ongoing support every step of the way.
The need for support doesn’t end at finalization. Our Post Permanency Services offer education, advocacy, referrals, and support at no cost to eligible families, helping children and parents build strong, healthy, lasting connections.
