At JFS, we guide families and children from first questions through placement, post-adoption support, and lifelong connection to services. Our team provides compassionate guidance, professional expertise, and individualized care to help families thrive.
We are proud partners of the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN), supporting children in foster care and the families who open their hearts and homes.
How We Help
Through SWAN and our Resource Family Program, we provide:
- Foster care and adoption from foster care
- Services through SWAN for foster care
- Home studies and post-placement supervision private and kinship adoption
- Post Permanency Services (state-funded support after adoption)
It only takes one adult to change a child’s life.
Foster parents provide safety, stability, and compassion to
children who have experienced trauma, loss, or instability.
We specialize in medically fragile foster care and offer
comprehensive training and ongoing support.
The process includes:
- 24 hours of required training
- Family assessment and home safety evaluation
- Background clearances
- Home study completion
- Matching and placement
- Ongoing supervision and support
