Jewish Family Service of Harrisburg and presenting partner GIANT are excited to welcome best-selling author Mitch Albom for a discussion and book signing of his newest book, Finding Chika: An Earthquake, A Little Girl, and the Making of a Family at Beth El Temple Harrisburg on Tuesday, February 25 at 7pm.
Mr. Albom is a nationally recognized award-winning sports journalist, best known for the themes of hope and kindness that weave through his books. He will bring the same inspiring message of community building, giving, and purpose, to Harrisburg.
“My lifestyle mantra is to focus on three things: family, business, and community,” said event chair Sanford Krevsky. “Mr. Albom personifies this concept. He’s a devoted family man, consummate professional as an author, writer, and sports commentator, and is consumed with a passionate commitment to those in need. Response to Mitch’s upcoming visit to Harrisburg is eagerly anticipated and I’m sure it will provide for an unforgettable evening.”
General admission tickets for the event are available now for $20. A VIP reception will also be held starting at 5:30pm, preceding the program. Tickets for both are available at jfsofhbg.org or 717-233-1681. Sponsorships of the program are also available.
Copies of Finding Chika are available at special pricing at Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg.
