Job Summary Human and Social Service agency operating in Dauphin County seeking a Family Based Mental Health Therapist. Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Theology, or a related mental health service field.

All candidates must have at least one year experience working within the CASSP system program (Mental Health, Intellectual Disabilities, Special Education, Children and Youth, Drug & Alcohol, Juvenile Justice, Healthcare, or Vocational Rehabilitation). The position requires three clearances (Pennsylvania Childline Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, and FBI Background Check). Training in Mandated Child Abuse Reporting is also required. This position involves providing intensive home-based family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. Clients are children/adolescents who are at risk of out of home placement (such as in-patient hospitalization, residential treatment, or foster care) due to emotional/behavioral struggles. An Eco-systemic family therapy (ESFT) model is used that engages the entire family in the treatment process; 3 years of on-the-job training in this model is provided, along with a high level of supervision from a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

· Must be able to work with another therapist as part of a co-therapy team.
· The work schedule is flexible in order to meet the needs of the family and does require frequent evenings.
· Therapist must be willing to be on-call for emergency crisis situations on a rotating basis.
· Reliable transportation is required.
· Travel to all geographic areas of Dauphin County is required.
