“Looking For the Helpers”

In times of national crisis or tragedy, Mr. Rogers would turn to his young television audience and share a lesson from his mother. “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers,’” he recounted. “’You will always find people who are helping.’”
